The Data Science Africa 2026 Summer School in Kampala is inviting submissions on Foundational & Practical Data Science in the Age of Generative AI.

An opportunity for researchers and practitioners to share work advancing responsible data, AI innovation, and evidence-informed decision-making across Africa.

Thematic Areas (Research Topics)

Submissions are invited on (but not limited to) the following areas:

1. Foundational Data Science and Machine Learning.

2. Generative AI and African Language Models.

3. Data Science Applications (AI/DS for Climate, Healthcare, Agriculture, Environmental Risks).

4. AI/DS in Education and Finance.

5. Ethical AI and Cybersecurity.

6. Data Governance.

Note: High-quality submissions outside these axes but aligned with the workshop theme are also encouraged.
